The Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat ended the third quarter with 4,344,773 pay-TV contact RGUs, of which 806,064 were Multiroom.
Given that the corresponding figures for Q3 2013 were 4,160,343 and 680,316, the pay-TV customer total was, at around 3.5 million, little changed on a year earlier.
ARPU per customer in contract services, which also included mobile telephony and internet, amounted to PLN86.5 (€20.5) in Q3, or 1.2% lower than a year earlier.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s total revenues in Q3 were PLN2,419.6 million, up from PLN677.3 million a year earlier.
EBITDA was PLN910.1 million (PLN268.2 million) and net profit PLN48.1 million (PLN176.4 million).
Significantly, it was revealed in a press conference yesterday (November 13) that Cyfrowy Polsat may either retain its existing name or rebrand as Plus.
The latter is the brand name used by Polkomtel, the telco Cyfrowy Polsat recently took over.
