New kids channel for Slovakia

November 5, 2014 09.37 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

TV JojMAC TV has been awarded a licence by Slovakia’s Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission (RVR) for a national digital pay-TV channel.

According to Parabola, it will be known as RiK and the first children’s channel in the Slovak language.

Distributed by cable, IPTV and DTH and available in HD, RiK will broadcast programmes under licence from Germany’s Your Family Entertainment.

MAC TV already holds the licences for four FTA channels operated by the Joj Group, namely Joj, Plus, Wau and Senzi.
