Dominik Libicki has resigned from the positions of president of Cyfrowy Polsat and VP of Polkomtel after 20 years with the Polsat group.
In a statement, the group conceded that the reasons for his departure were differences in the way its strategy should be implemented.
Libicki became president of Cyfrowy Polsat, then just a struggling DTH platform owned by its parent company Polsat, in 2001.
He transformed it into Poland’s leading pay-TV operation that is now the main holding company for the group.
Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, the founder of Polsat and cuurrently the main shareholder in Cyfrowy Polsat, describes Libicki as one of the best managers he has worked with.
Tomasz Gillner-Gorywoda, who has been DG of Polokomtel since 2011, will now become president of Cyfrowy Polsat.
