The Ukrainian news and information-based channel TVi has undergone a change in ownership.
ProIT and Telekritika report that its parent company Info24, previous backed by four individuals – Vitaly Portnikov, Natalia Katerynchuk, Nicholai Knyazhytskyy and Artem Shevchenko – is now owned by the Estonian company Bellday Oü (60%) and Denmark’s Østeuropæisk Kommunikation Holding ApS (40%).
The latter also own Keiko Ukraine, which in turn includes TRK Teleradiosvit, a former owner of TVi, in its port olio.
According to TVi, it was launched in March 2008 and currently reaches 60.5% of Ukraine’s population.
It is also distributed on 85% of cable networks in Ukraine.
Its target audience is men aged 25 to 55 and the tvi.ua site has more than 1.2 million users viewing over 3.6 million pages each month.
TVi is distributed by Amos 2 at 4 degrees West.
