France’s Lagardère will launch another music TV channel on October 2.
According to Le Figaro, RFM TV will be available on cable and satellite and reach a potential four million homes.
The TV version of the radio station RFM, it will replace MCM Pop, with both having the same target audience, an older 25-49 demographic.
Lagardère has already launched a TV version of Virgin Radio, while its premium services consist of the pay-TV channels MCM, MCM Top and MCM Pop.
Richard Lenormand, the general manager of Lagardère’s radio and TV division, says that the transformation of MCM Pop into RFM TV represents its ambition to have a presence on all screens.
