Viasat’s plans for the Baltics include the launch of a sport offer focused on the region.
Quoted by Novare and DB, Johaness Lepeness, the head of Viasat Baltics, added that its main emphasis would be on content development, as well as using the latest technology to offer viewers the video options they want.
Lepeness also said that in Latvia the company would continue to work with such partners as the incumbent Lattelecom and Baltcom, the country’s leading cable operator.
Just last week, MTG extended the exclusive rights it holds to Formula I in the Baltic Republics until 2017.
