French cablenet Numericable is introducing a new multiscreen service. It’s also expanding Restart to terrestrial channels.
Over 320 channels will be available to Labox Fibre customers on mobiles and tablets supporting iOS and Android, both inside and outside the home.
It will also be possible to drive Labox Fibre from a tablet, along with remote recording, and the setting of favourite channels through the programme guide.
The addition of 27 channels from the terrestrial ‘TNT’ network takes the total number of channels available on Restart to 38. Viewers are able to view a show from the beginning at any point in the hour.
Numericable, the only French cable TV network of size, has a market share in high speed broadband of 50%.
