Children’s channel Nickelodeon will open a new programme window in the evening and late night hours when it turns into a 24 hour service in Germany on October 1, 2014.
With German TV premiers and free-to-air TV debuts, Nicknight will target teenagers and young adults from 21.00 CET.
The schedule will comprise sitcoms, drama series and reality shows such as Awkward, Catfish, Wendell & Vinnie, How to Rock, See Dad Run and Degrassi – The next Generation. Viewers will have the possibility to choose between the dubbed German-language soundtrack and the original English-language version.
Nicknight will occupy Nickelodeon’s slot across all distribution platforms between 21.00 and 06.00 CET. Comedy Central which is currently using the evening hours will move to sister channel VIVA.
