Internet TV platform Zattoo has taken three TV channels from US media company Viacom International Media Networks Northern Europe on board its offering in Germany.
The additions are music and youth channel VIVA, entertainment channel Comedy Central and children’s channel Nickelodeon. The live-streams are part of the free-of-charge, advertising-financed free-TV line-up which now contains a total of 76 channels.
Nickelodeon and Comedy Central currently share a channel slot. As part of a revamp of Viacom’s German channel family, Nickelodeon will become a 24 hour service on October 1, 2014 while VIVA will hand over airtime to Comedy Central.
