Pace showing RDK, DOCSIS 3.0 and Mesh Networking

May 19, 2014 11.02 Europe/London By Julian Clover

The transformation of Pace into a company that produces much more than the humble set-top box can be seen at this year’s ANGA COM.

Pace is preparing to showcase RDK products and solutions; media servers, IP clients and dongles along with Elements RDK ready software platform.

Having already shipped 3 million RDK compliant devices in North America it now plans to expand such deployments in Europe.

“With RDK and our open software platforms we aim to free operators from complex and proprietary solutions, giving them control over their services and their subscriber’s experience whilst minimising their total cost of ownership,” said Jim Henderson, president, Pace International.

The recent acquisition of Aurora Networks means there will be an enhanced range of DOCSIS 3.1 enabled produce including multi-channel, transcoding media servers and client devices.
