Patrik Hofbauer has been named as the new CEO of Telenor Sweden; leaving his current role as CEO of Telenor Broadcast and Canal Digital. He will take up his new position on August 1.
Telenor Sweden’s current CEO, Lars-Åke Norling, will become CEO of Telenor Group’s jointly-owned mobile operator in Malaysia, DiGi.

Hofbauer leaves Canal Digital with increasing revenues, but concern over continued subscriber erosion for the satellite platform, in a highly competitive market.
He has been a member of Telenor Sweden AB’s board since 2013.
