Viasat widens reach in Ukraine

ViasatViasat Ukraine has announced the launch of all its 13 available pay-TV channels on the Lanet Network, which is one of the country’s biggest operators.

The channel offering includes the premium movie channels TV1000 Premium HD and TV1000 Megahit HD, as well as TV1000 Comedy HD.

All the channels are available for subscribers with the premium tier digital package.

The offering will include the factual channels Viasat Explore, Viasat History, Viasat Nature, Viasat History HD and Viasat Nature HD, as well as the movie channels TV1000 Action and TV1000 Russian Kino that were recently rebranded. Ukraine’s most popular movie channel TV1000 will be part of the analogue as well as the digital package.

The sports channel Viasat Sport, available in HD, will also be made available on the Lanet Network.

Commenting on the development, Andrey Burenok, country manager of Viasat Ukraine LLC, said: In just a few years Lanet has reached a steadfast position and has proven to be an ambitious national player in the Ukrainian market.
