The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has signaled its interest to invest in Telekom Srbija.
Quoted by RTS and Balkans.com, the bank’s president Suma Chakrabarti said that Serbia has good prospects and that it will continue to invest in the country.
Jean-Marc Peterschmitt, EBRD MD for Central and South Eastern Europe, meanwhile said that the possible privatisation of Telekom Srbija would certainly attract a large number of bidders and the EBRD would also take part in the process.
Telekom Srbija is currently majority (58.11%) owned by the Republic of Serbia, with Telekom Srbija (20%) holding the next highest stake.
