Host in the Box, a new factual entertainment show created by Endemol Germany, has been sold for the first time in Spain.
Following the format’s international debut at MIPTV 2014, Spanish broadcaster Cuatro has commissioned a first series of the factual entertainment show.
Produced by Endemol Spain, each episode will see a different host locked in a wooden box and shipped off to an undisclosed location within Spain. From Hell’s Angels to Amish people or porn actors, the host must adapt to a new lifestyle.
The format has also been sold to Hungary where it aired in February with an 8 episode run on Super TV2. Host in the Box originally launched on ProSieben in Germany in August 2013 under the name Schulz in the Box.
