Poland will see its first-ever transmission in 4K this coming Saturday (March 29).
It will feature a football match between Legia Warsaw and Lech Poznan from Poland’s premier league (T-Mobile Ekstraklasa) and be undertaken by the companies ATM System and Live Park, the latter of which is responsible for all the league’s TV transmissions.
However, the transmission will not be available to viewers, as regular 4K services are as yet not offered in Poland.
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, Marcin Serafin, the operational director at Live Park, said that T-Mobile Ekstraklasa may undertaken more 4K transmissions and is watching developments outside Poland, both in leading professional leagues by US broadcasters.
