Marcela Hrdá has become the new CEO of the Czech national commercial broadcaster TV Barrandov, taking over from Vladimir Zelezny.
According to Marketing Sales Media, a publication owned by Empresa Media, the backers of TV Barrandov, Zelezny has now taken on the role of director of strategic development at Empresa Media.
This was in accordance with an agreement previously struck by Zelezny and Jaromir Soukup, the owner of Empresa Media.
During his time as head of TV Barrandov, Zelezny turned the station round, increasing its audience share to 5%.
Hrdá has worked for a number of telcos and has been the executive director of the Medea Group and Empresa Media Group since 2012.
She is currently the VP of the board of Barrandov Studios.
Zelezny is meanwhile one of the doyens of the Czech TV industry, having jointly launched TV Nova with CME and then run the station during its first few years.
In another change, Markéta Daems has become the new head of programming at TV Barrandov, replacing Markéta Zahradnikova.
