Telekom Slovenije’s OTT platform TViN reached new heights of usage during the recent Sochi Winter Olympics.
According to the company, almost half of its TopTrio triple-play subscribers accessed the service on their PC, tablet or mobile phone in the period February 7 to February 23.
Mitja Lazar, head of internet and multimedia services at Telekom Slovenije,commented: “Most of the competitions during the Winter Olympics were on during the day, when a lot of viewers were at work. TViN enabled them to follow the most interesting matches and competitions on their computers, tablets and smartphones. The increase in usage shows that a lot of our subscribers used the opportunity to follow the Olympics through TViN”.
Launched two years ago, TViN is an all-in-one white-label solution with second screen, live TV, VOD, and cloud storage options, enabling service providers and media companies to seamlessly expand their OTT service to multiple devices.
Solutions and apps are available for all common platforms, including web, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, smart TVs and set top boxes.
