Discovery’s latest addition to its family of channels, ID Xtra is set to launch on April 1.
It will be available in SD and HD versions across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
There is increased demand and opportunity in the market for factual mystery and suspense content which we have the experience and ability to fill and for this reason we have ambitious plans to roll ID Xtra out to as many as 105 markets across CEEMEA in 2014,” said Paul Welling, SVP, Head of Channels, Discovery Networks CEEMEA.
“ Many of our largest operators have already signed up and with drama at the forefront of this channel’s offering, viewers will be kept on the edge of their seat and watching for longer than other channels, as ID Xtra invites them to take a closer look and get under the skin of unsolved mysteries.”
Welling will talk about the launch of ID Xtra, the increased popularity in the mystery and suspense genre during his Keynote at this’ year MIPDoc in Cannes, on Sunday, April 6 at 11.30am.
