A+E Networks UK is expanding its portfolio of channels in Romania with the addition of History HD and Crime & Investigation Network to the Romtelecom platform. The channels will also be added to Romtelecom subsiduary NextGen Communications.
Bakori Davis, VP of Commercial Operations at A+E Networks UK, said: “We are delighted to secure additional distribution with Romtelecom and NextGen for both History HD and CI in Romania. History is the most popular factual channel in Romania and we are thrilled that our growing audience can now enjoy its quality content in HD.”
History first launched with Romtelecom in August 2011 and is now available in HD as part of Romtelecom’s HD basic bundles Extra and Maxim, on both satellite and digital (IPTV). The channel is also available as part of NextGen Communications’ HD supplementary option. Top rating shows include Pawn Stars (pictured) and Counting Cars.
History also offers a range of quality content via Romtelecom’s VOD platforms, where shows such as Vikings have been premiered ahead of their linear transmission.
CI is available in Romtelecom’s Maxim package and NextGen’s digital and analogue packages, offering viewers insight into real life crime stories.
