Telekom Austria saw strong growth in the take-up of its TV services in Central and Eastern Europe in 2013.
In Bulgaria, it ended the year with 77,800 subscribers, a 22.9% increase on the total a year earlier.
Meanwhile in Croatia, the TV customer base rose by 28.4% over the same period to 157,100.
By contrast, in its home market the total increased by only 7.7% to 235,700.
In Croatia, Telekom Austria’s strategic focus also centered upon the continuation of the convergence strategy through the acquisition of the satellite TV provider Digi TV and of four cable network operators.
Telekom Austria as a whole had revenues of €4,183.9m million in 2013, a reduction of 3.4% on the previous year. Its EBITDA fell by 11.6% to €1,287.4 million, while net income rose by 5.5% to €109.7 million.
It expects group revenues to decline by around 3% year-on-year and capital expenditures to remain stable at around €700 million in 2014.
