FIC Southern Europe and Africa appoints Pinto Pereira CCO

January 17, 2014 12.49 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Vera Pinto PereiraVera Pinto Pereira has been appointed as COO of FIC Southern Europe and Africa.

Mrs Pinto Pereira will be based in FIC’s Lisbon office and will report to Adam Theiler, EVP for Southern Europe and Africa. She will also collaborate with Georgina Twiss, EVP Affiliate Distribution of FIC Europe & Africa

Prior to this, Pinto Pereira was TV service director of MEO, Portugal Telecom’s pay-TV platform and an affiliate partner of FIC, a role in which she spent six years. MEO is now one of the most influential Pay-TV platforms in Portugal and represents a global success story.

Prior to this post, Mrs Pinto Pereira was TV service director at ZON Optimus (formerly TVCabo), where she was responsible for marketing and product management..

“Vera is a commercially savvy, respected Pay-TV executive whose extensive experience throughout a notably successful career will enhance FIC’s ability to appreciate the aims — and challenges — of our affiliate partners throughout South Europe and Africa. Vera is both an innovator and a pioneer of the Pay-TV sector in Portugal and as COO for the region she will be instrumental in defining our strategic path forward across territories in different stages of development. Vera shares the same drive and professional enthusiasm for our industry that we share at FIC, and I could not be happier to have her on the team”, said Adam Theiler, EVP for Southern Europe and Africa.
