TransGaming has announced a partnerships with Samsung and Toshiba Europe to bring its GameTree TV platform to smart TVs.
GameTree TV is a cloud based games on-demand service and will be offered to consumers as a free-to-play service on Samsung smart TVs, with in-game video-based advertising as the business model.
As a premium partner of Toshiba’s Game Section, GameTree TV will provide the very first games available to consumers in the section, without the need for any additional hardware.
“We continue to build an incomparable lineup of industry leading consumer electronics partners to increase our Smart TV audience to a globally massive size,” said Vikas Gupta, CEO and President of TransGaming.
“The smart TV market continues to explode, with exponential growth of TVs being Internet connected, and will dominate living rooms worldwide this year.”
GameTree TV is already available on Philips smart TVs, as announced at last year’s IFA in Berlin.
