Sky Deutschland has announced details of its new online VOD portal Snap by Sky.
Monthly subscriptions will costs EUR9.90 for anyone in Germany, with Sky subscribers paying EUR4.90. A subscription gives unlimited access to around 4,000 movies and TV series. The broadcaster said it will add new titles on a regular basis to grow to a total offer of over 10,000 titles.
Sky’s Snap portal offers a large number of exclusive HBO titles including The Sopranos, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire. Also available are Rome, Band of Brothers, The Wire and Six Feet Under. Kids productions from Disney studios are also part of the library.
Snap is available on PCs, Macs, iPad and Apple TV via Airplay, as well as on Samsung smart TVs from 2012 onwards.
The monthly price for Snap is slightly higher than its main competitors in the German market, Watchever, Lovefilm and Maxdome.
