UPC Polska has outlined an ambitious strategy for 2014, with the focus on faster internet access and developing its digital services.
Speaking to Gazeta Prawna, Grzegorz Esz, a company board member and responsible for marketing, said that it will shortly offer a 500 Mbps internet product, with trials to get under way in Warsaw, Krakow, Zakopane and Pultusk before the end of the year.
The latter is particularly important as UPC Polska is trying to develop it into the first wholly digital town.
At present, the fastest internet offer provided by UPC Polska nationally is 250 Mbps and it can be received by 2.5 million households.
UPC Polska also plans to develop mobile apps, accessible to its subscribers on smartphones and tablets.
Ultimately, it will be moving next year to a TV without a decoder scenario, making its services fully available on mobile devices.
UPC Polska in addition plans to expand its recently launched catch-up TV services, initially for TVP programming, to also include other channels.
Significantly, Esz said that UPC Polska had no plans to change its pricing policy.
