Romtelecom rings in the changes

Romtelecom, new offices 2011Romtelecom has announced a number of key appointments, effective October 1.

They will see Matthias Hanel, currently chief commercial officer Romania, take up the position of chief commercial officer residential segment Romania and chief commercial officer business customers Romania.

Ovidiu Ghiman, currently chief residential officer Romtelecom, will become chief commercial officer – business segment Romania (fixed and mobile operations, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania).

Bob Konstantinidis, currently chief technology and operations officer Romtelecom, will become chief technology and operations officer Romania (fixed and mobile operations, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania).

Others will see:

Lampros Iskos, the current chief technical officer of Cosmote Romania, become director of technology for T-Mobile Netherlands.

Anca Georgescu-Aladgem, currently chief human resources officer Romtelecom, appointed as chief human resources officer Romania (fixed and mobile operations, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania).

Anastasios Tzoulas, currently chief financial officer Romtelecom, appointed as chief financial officer Romania (fixed and mobile operations, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania).

Konstantinos Apostolou, currently financial dvision director Cosmote Romania, appointed financial integration director, reporting to the chief financial officer Romania.

Timos Tsokanis, currently chief information officer Romtelecom, appointed as chief information officer Romania (fixed and mobile operations, Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania).
Konstantinos Petsas, currently information technology division director Cosmote Romania, will continue to support the development efforts in the IT area.

Both Mihai Tudor, currently chief commercial officer – business segment Romtelecom, and Liliana Danaila, currently human resources division Director Cosmote Romania, will leave the group.

Commenting on the appointments, Nikolai Beckers, CEO Romtelecom and Cosmote Romania, said they are “consistent with our goal to have a unified approach, consistent for the two companies. This creates the conditions for a strong and effective organization that will bring value to our customers. I am convinced that we are on the proper path to build a successful leader IT & C market and stable employment for our employees , while meeting the objectives of shareholders.”

Romtelecom is majority owned by Greece’s OTE, itself backed by Deutsche Telekom, and one of the leading players in Romania’s electronic communications market.
