Deutsche Telekom is considering an overhaul of its activities in Central and Eastern Europe.
Quoting WSJ, Telecompaper reports that the telco’s management and supervisory boards will meet in Poland in the week beginning September 2 to discuss strategy.
Items on the agenda may include the sale of some assets, including the 61% stake the company currently holds in T-Mobile Czech Republic.
Telekom may also be looking to sell mobile-only assets, or strengthen them by buying fixed-line ones.
Potential acquisitions include GTS Europe, which operates in Poalnd, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, and Netia, Poland’s leading alternative telco.
