Discovery Deutschland’s male-skewed DMAX is launching on DTT in Munich on September 2.
The channel has received a temporary licence from the Bavarian media authority BLM. In October, the Medienrat of the BLM will decide on a long-term licence for the broadcaster.
DMAX will part of the DVB-T multiplex on channel 34, which allows for indoor reception Munich, while viewers outside the city will need an outdoor aerial.
DMAX broadcasts 24 hours a day and is also available on digital DTH satellite as a free-to-air channel on the Astra position at 19.2 degrees East. The channel is also available nationwide on cable.
