French cable operator Numéricâble has signed an agreement with La Société National Immobilière (SNI), the National Building Society, to provide its digital service SUN to an estimated 150,000 homes.
The service currently combines internet access at up to 2Mbps, TV (18 free DTT channels and 30 international channels) and a telephone line to receive calls.
SNI is a social landlord that manages 350,000 homes and the agreement between the two parties is for a period of five years.
It allows for the deployment of SUN on future builds. Separately, Numéricâble has added the movie service UniversCiné to its VOD offer, which already contains over 30,000 programmes.
Numéricâble is backed by the investment groups Cinven, Carlyle and Altice and provides services to a total of around 10 million homes.
