Virgin Media has added the dedicated video channel Ginx TV to its platform.
Ginx TV is the only such international channel on the market. It offers fully localised services and is already available in 40 territories around the world.
It also produces shows for 3rd party channels.
Commenting on the launch, Nick Forward, director of TV at Virgin Media, said: “We’re pleased to be the first in the UK to launch Ginx TV. Gaming is an important part of life for many of our superfast broadband and TV customers, so we’re sure that Ginx TV will go down a storm – it’s great to get quality video game shows back on the TV schedule.”
Ginx TV CEO, Michiel Bakker added: “We are over the moon to be launching Ginx TV with Virgin Media in our home market. The UK is the fifth largest video gaming market in the world. One in three people describe themselves as gamers and half of UK households have at least one console.
