Dutch public broadcaster NOS has launched its first iPad app with a rich video offering.
The new app brings together functionalities of the various smart phones app and smart TV apps of the broadcaster, such as NOS Sport and NOS Journaal. The new app, which can be downloaded directly to the tablet, offers both live streams and on-demand programming.
The most recent editions of NOS Journaal, NOS Sportjournaal, NOS Studio Sport,Nieuwsuur, NOS Jeugdjournaal, NOS op 3, NOS op 3 nieuwsflits and Nieuws in 60 seconden are available in the catch-up TV section.
Digital thematic channels Journaal 24 and Politiek 24 azre avail;able 24/7 as well as various occasional live streams , e.g. with live coverage of main sports events such as the Tour de France.
The new NOS iPad app is independent of the new NPO.nl TV everywhere app, which will be released later this year and also includes the live streams of the two digital thematic channels as well as catch-up programming.
