ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s female skewed channel Sixx will take to the airwaves in Munich and Nuremberg on June 1.

The switching on of the channel follows an agreement between the broadcaster and transmitter company Media Broadcast to make full use of the DTT distribution in the country.

The technical reach is in Munich with a roof-top aerial will reach a potential of 4.5 people, 2.8 million with an outdoor antenna, and 1.6 million with an indoor antenna. In the reception area of ??Nuremberg the technical reach is 1.6 million inhabitants (roof antenna), 1 million inhabitants (external antenna) and 0.5 million inhabitants (indoor antenna).

“We are pleased that the ProSiebenSat.1 Group reaffirms its commitment to DVB-T with the expansion of its digital terrestrial broadcasting by sixx,” said January Lange, SVP, sales and marketing and member of the executive management board of Media Broadcast.

“Strong programming supports the continued development of digital terrestrial television, which we are driving further with a future-proof, high-coverage DVB-T network, as well as innovations such as the multithek. We thus reach the broadcasters not least important in the secure media distribution,” added Holger Meinzer, Head of Business Unit TV Media Broadcast.
