LandscapeHD, the first 1080p linear instrumental music channel, is now available on connected TVs in the Sony Bravia 2012/2013 models.
Viewers can watch the channel through the playlist option in the app giving Landscape global reach and for anyone buying a Sony Bravia television can now receive a full 1080p channel at your fingertips when none is available through traditional television distributors yet.
“We know our languageless format works well in all countries because we have been doing this 26 years. It is extremely gratifying to know we can now deliver our free to air music channel anywhere in the world and, thanks to internet distribution, we can see it happen instantly,” said Nick Austin, chairman of Landscape, in a statement:
“Viewers everywhere want the full 1080p for their 1080p screens and the the transition to full HD starts here and is effectively in-store now. This gives Sony Bravia a marvelous edge over other hardware manufactures because you can see the difference between what we do at Landscape and what pretends to be HD coming over the air off of low bandwidth satellite services.
LandscapeHD is funded by a new form of global advertising developed by Landscape called Landscape Alternative Advertising. This languageless advertising was originally created by the advertising industry for tourism and destination clients but is now moving into mainstream television through the global network the Landscape Channel is currently building.
