Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Group is expanding its HbbTV offer with the addition of its Videocenter.
The private broadcaster said it now provides access to more than 10,000 clips of over 60 different programmes from the group;s three main channels, ProSieben, Kabel Eins and Sat.1.
The HbbTV service now consists of an EPG with trailers of prime time programming, HD Text from the three channels, weather forecasts from wetter.com, voting, apps accompanying programmes such as Germany’s next Topmodel and more.
Lars Friedrichs, responsible for teletext and HbbTV at ProSiebenSat.1 Digital, explains: “The Videocenter is a central part of our HbbTV offer, which is very well received by our viewers. The new Videocenter provides users with a very user-friendly interface, and even. greater choice and improved image quality. This greatly enhances our HbbTV offer.”
