Further details have emerged about the new Slovak pay-DTT platform Plustelka, which is due to make its debut on May 1.
Quoting Towerhome, which will operate the service, local reports say it will be distributed on the country’s fourth DTT multiplex, which can be received in almost 80% of Slovak households, and cost €5.99 a month, including VAT.
Plustelka will consist of 12 channels – Eurosport, Eurosport 2, Film+, Viasat Explorer, Viasat History, Viasat Nature, Nickelodeon, MusicBox and Spice, along with the Czech CT1, CT2 and TV Lux, with the latter three being provided for free – and require a Zircon T-3000 HD set-top box, typically retailing for around €60, to receive.
Once Plustelka is up and running, there will be a total of 11 free and nine pay-DTT channels available in Slovakia.
Towerhome is a subsidiary of the national transmission company Towercom.
