Comedy Central Extra has made its debut in Romania.
Local reports say the channel, which carries mostly US and UK-produced comedy programmes, is initially being offered by the incumbent telco Romtelecom.
Comedy Central Extra is operated by Viacom International Media Networks and is already up and running in nine other CEE markets.
Romtelecom is one of the leading providers of pay-TV services in the country.
Its interests include DTH and IPTV services under the Dolce brand name, along with the cable operator NextGen.
