IMS, My-HD and Knetik Media to dustribute Nutan.TV

IMS, a My-HD Media distributor, will distribute the video streaming application Knetik Media throughout the Middle East and Africa and provide users with thousands of hours of South Asian content.

Knetik Media is bringing its direct-to-consumer online video service, Nutan.TV, targeting South Asian customers to thousands of retail end points located across the Middle-East and Africa.

Nutan.TV is a multi-screen service that delivers ‘Mega Serials’, movies, and entertainment news and events, including Bollywood, direct to consumers. Users worldwide looking for South Asian content of this type will be able to access thousands of hours of programs on Nutan.TV through the browser on their portable devices and the official web portal.

Nutan.TV aims to provide diverse content in the most popular South Asian languages, which include Hindi, Malayalam and Urdu, as well as niche programming from smaller content providers. With Nutan.TV, consumers can watch programming, some of which is not available anywhere else, anytime and in any way. The service at launch is supported through an ‘all you can watch’ monthly subscription fee of $6.50.

International Marketing Services (IMS), a sales and marketing company that promotes consumer electronics, and My-HD, a low pay TV Direct-To-Home (DTH) platform offering a wide range of High Definition (HD) channels via satellite, are responsible for promotion of Nutan.TV throughout the Middle Eastern and African regions.

MyHD will promote the availability of Nutan.TV via its MyHD+ and MyHD+ Home enabled hybrid satellite receivers, which are due to reach the market starting in early Q3 2013 through its dealer network and customer service center representatives.

Through the partnership with IMS, Nutan.TV will be available in Q2 2013 through connected TV devices that are already deployed throughout the Middle East and Africa as well as native device applications for Apple iOS (i.e. iPhone and iPad), Android OS (i.e. Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean), and Microsoft W8 devices will also be introduced.

“IMS and My-HD media give us the distribution strength to properly launch this exciting direct-to-consumer online video service,” said CEO, Shane Robinett. “These companies are experts in the Middle East and North Africa, and provide Nutan.TV with an excellent opportunity for growth.”
