Progress in the second Russian DTT mux is under way, according to the Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (RTR).
“Right now, there are already 1,200 transmitters in the Russian Federation, and many more will be launched soon. By the end of 2013 we will have built 1,508 transmitters. At year-end we will cover more than 42% with two digital multiplexes,” according to Victor Pinchuk, deputy director RTR.
“In December last year, we published the list of channels that will broadcast in the second multiplex. Before March 1, the government commission will select a system integrator, who will carry out the implementation of the second multiplex network. ”

The Russian government allocated spectrum in the second DTT mux to the following ten broadcasters Akcept (Ren TV), TV Center (TV Center – Moscow), Network Television Stations (CTC), New Channel (Domashny), Sport (VGTRK), NTV Plus Sport Plus (NTV Plus), Zvezda (NTK Zvezda), Mir (Mir), TNT Teledisk (TNT) and Muz TV (Muz).
