Poland’s Canal+ Cyfrowy has secured the rights to the Barclays Premier League for the next three seasons.
As a result, subscribers to NC+, the new DTH platform being formed by the merger of n and Cyfra+, will be able to watch live games from the league from August this year up until 2016.
Canal+ has offered games from the league exclusively in Poland since 1995.
Once fully up and running, NC+ will have around 2.5 million subscribers, or roughly one million less than Cyfrowy Polsat, the market leader.
