Dutch incumbent KPN said that its total TV customer base had reached 1,766,000 at the end of December, 2012, equalling a market share of 23%.
This is a significant growth from the 1.4 million TV customers at the end of 2011, which represented a 17% market share.
The number of TV homes grew particularly during the fourth quarter of the year, mainly because of the integration of the TV providers on the FTTH networks it took over from Reggeborgh.
KPN reported a total of 1.012.000 subscriptions to its IPTV service KPN Interactieve Televisie, while 754.000 homes subscribe to the company’s DTT service Digitenne.
The total number of IPTV hones grew from 573.000 at the end of 2011. The number of DTT homes is down, from 827.000 at the end of 2011.
