New board member for CTC Media

January 23, 2013 09.37 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Russia’s CTC Media has announced that Timur Weinstein has joined its board of directors.

He replaces Dmitry Afanasiev, who has resigned to pursue other interests, and is one of three members of the board designated by Telcrests Investments Limited.

The latter is an affiliate of Bank Rossiya and one of CTC Media’s main shareholders.

Weinstein is a shareholder and chairman of the board of directors of WeiT Media, a company which he founded in 2009 and which is now 51% owned by Endemol.
