Intelsat appoints Jean-Luc Froeliger as VP

November 27, 2012 07.35 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Intelsat has promoted Jean-Luc Froeliger to VP of satellite operations and engineering, effective immediately.

In his new role, he will oversee the operations of Intelsat’s satellite fleet and third-party satellites that Intelsat operates.

Froeliger has been with Intelsat for more than 20 years in a variety of satellite program management roles. Most recently, he held the position of director of space systems acquisition, where he was responsible for overseeing the development, production and launch of all satellites procured by Intelsat.

Froeliger will report directly to Thierry Guillemin, Intelsat’s CTO.
