Dutch DTH platform Canal Digitaal Satelliet is turning off the Irdeto encryption on its service. The provider has been using an older version of the conditional access system, which is now no longer supported.
Dutch cabler Ziggo is expanding its HD offer with the addition of two channels from Flemish pubcaster VRT, Eén HD and Canvas HD. Also new is the 24/7 kids channel RTL Telekids, and the addition of CBBC and CBeebies.
In the Netherlands, NPO, the umbrella organisation of the Dutch public broadcasters has terminated broadcasts of two thematic channels, the Dutch language music channel Sterren 24 and the religious channel Spirit 24.
