The Bosnian cable operator Telemach has expanded its activities through the acquisition of TeleKabel, a network in the city of Zenica, for an undisclosed fee.
Telemach is backed by Mid Europa Partners (MEP) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and part of the group that also includes Serbia Broadband (SBB), the regional DTH platform Total TV and Telemach in Slovenia.
Based in Sarajevo, it was formed in 2010 by the merger of the cablecos BH Cable Net, Global Net and ELOB and subsequently acquired Mostar-based Monet Ltd in July last year.
TeleKabel subscribers can now expect a much better offer, which will include 70 analogue and over 140 digital channels, as well as internet access at up to 80 Mbps and the recently-launched OTT service D3Go.
