The Vision TV network is now available on Roku in the UK through a free-to-download app.
With the Vision TV Network app downloaded from the Roku channel store, Roku customers with a LT or 2 XS streaming player will have access to up to 37 channels from Poland, Greece, Turkey and France, with more countries to follow.
Vision TV Network brings to UK audiences a mix of free-to-air and subscription-based live TV and video on demand. The channels are distributed via broadband internet. They are also available to viewers with a recent Freeview receiver.
Current channels are broadcast from France, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus and Poland in local language, as well as English language programming.
John Mills, CEO of Vision247, said in a statement: “Roku is a name synonymous with simple and cost-effective access to TV and on-demand services over the internet. This perfectly gels with our intent for the Vision TV Network, to bring high-quality international television broadcasts to expatriate communities in the UK in an easy, straight forward manner.”
Clive Hudson, VP and general manager for Europe at Roku said: “As on-demand television become increasingly popular in the UK, consumers are looking for more and more content to stream to their televisions. International channels are proving very popular in the UK and with the addition of the Vision TV Network app we hope to continue to expand our multilingual offering.”
“Bringing Vision TV Network to the Roku platform extends Vision247’s capability to support international broadcasters and video content owners wishing to extend their reach to new audiences, streaming live TV or delivering video libraries through the app to homes throughout the UK,” added Mills.
