Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has granted TV Trwam a 10-year extension on its current licence, which is valid until March 2013.
However, like at present it is solely for satellite and not DVB-T broadcasting, which the Lux Veritas foundation, the channel’s operator, had been demanding.
Lux Veritas last year applied for a frequency for TV Trwam, which offers programmes of an educational and religious nature, on the country’s first multiplex but was turned down.
It is now hoping to secure a slot on the multiplex for its soon-to-be-launched channel TVM1, which will be aimed at young viewers.
