Pascal Dormal, CEO of Numericable Belgium and Luxembourg, is leaving the company.
Dormal, who headed Numericable Belux since late 2006, said he will now concentrate on other projects to fully exploit his extensive experience in the telecom, media and technology field.
He is leaving “a very successful company, who despite his relative small size breaks all records in terms of penetration of digital television or the use of triple play packs,” according to the company’s press release.
The general management of the Numericable Belux group is now chaired by Cyril Dukic, currently general manager for the group. There will be two deputy directors general, Wim De Naeyer (director general finance, customer service and administration) and Gabriel Schmitt (general commercial deputy director).
Pascal Dormal remains at Numericable Benelux for a number of strategic projects.
“Between 2006 and 2011 we started a very positive development for Numericable Belux,” said Dormal. “The good results led to the sale of the group in June 2011. Since then it was my mission to implement the terms of the strategic plan with the new shareholders. Now the group can enter a new phase in its development. I am very proud of my last successful challenge and the prospects for the company to which I continue to fee attached to.”
Philippe Lhomme, chairman of Numericable Belux, added: “Under the direction of Pascal Dormal the group, which at the time was just a simple cable distributor, was transformed into a telecom operator which now offers a wide range of efficient services. The strategic vision of Pascal, his perseverance and his intellectual honesty were crucial to make this shift possible. We owe him much and we wish him a bright future in his upcoming challenges. ”
