Trace gets involved in Russia

Digital TV in CEE – PRAGUE. The brand and international media group Trace plans to develop subscription on demand (SVOD) services in Russia with a partner, according to Emmanuel Genin, VP, distribution and development.

Speaking in a session entitled Prospects for International Channel Providers, he added that it has already secured carriage on Tricolor TV, the country’s leading DTH platform, and has entered into a partnership with another company that will see it carry a branded block for six months.

Genin said that Trace has no rights issues and sees its future in partnerships.

TRACE was launched in 2003 and distributes content and pay-TV channels in over 150 countries through 28 satellites and 200 carriage agreements.
