Japanese game company Nintendo is adding more streaming TV content to its Wii console.
During a press conference at the E3 event in Los Angeles, the company announced that Netflix streaming, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video will be available on the Wii U. YouTube leanback will also be available on the platform.
As the first console maker Nintendo is introducing NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to its set-tops. The company plans to use NFC to allow the controller to work as a TV remote expanding the functionality of the console.
