CTAM Europe (Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing) has appointed Eric Tveter, CEO of upc cablecom in Switzerland, the new Chairman of CTAM Europe for the next two years. The announcement was made today by Krisztina Homolay, managing director of CTAM Europe.
Eric Tveter will take over the chairman responsibilities from Chris Winkelmolen, director of marketing and sales SoHo Europe at Liberty Global. “We are delighted to have Eric as CTAM Europe’s new chairman. His leadership skills, experience and broad network will be of great benefit for the CTAM Europe organization and its members” – added Winkelmolen.
Tveter will oversee CTAM Europe’s strategic development and will collaborate with 20 board of directors across the European region, representing cable, content and cable technology. He will also play pivotal role of supporting the EuroSummit’12 and make it the best cable marketing event of the year.
Eric Tveter joined upc cablecom as managing director in May 2009. The American citizen was president of UK cable operator Telewest Global Inc. (2004 to 2006) and held a range of senior management positions at Time Warner Cable, Comcast Corporation and Cablevision Systems Corporation. Tveter was a non-executive board member of Open TV and formerly served as chairman of Sightspeed Inc, a video conferencing and communications provider until the business was sold to Logitech in late 2008.
