German connected TV set-top box manufacturer VideoWeb is launching five music television channels with Cologne based Putpat.
The five music channels, ChartsTV, IntroTV, VibesTV, 2RockTV and RetroTV, are streamed live to the TV set that is connected to the internet via the VideoWeb set-top. Access to the channels is free and will be advertiser supported.
For the moment the channels are only available for German users of the STB.

We are now freed from the limitations of cable and satellite networks. This offers the audience more choice on his TV set better suited to his taste in music.”
